LISZT - LES JEUX D'EAU A LA VILLA D'ESTE

A fantastic portrait of Italy

Here are this week masterclasses:

1) SAINT-SAENS' -  INTRODUCTION &  RONDO CAPRICCIOSO. This composition is dedicated to the 18th-century violinist Pablo de Sarasate, and there's a very much audible Spanish influence in the flow of this romantic composition. It has an infallible effect on the audience, but it demands precision and technique. Featuring professor Janna Gandelman.
2) ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE - RHYTHM AND WARM-UP. About rhythm (rhythm, not tempo...) and how to develop a sort of internal metronome which allows you to express the best of your playing and gives you crucial reference all along the piece. Featuring professor Evangeline Benedetti.
3) LISZT - LES JEUX D'EAUX A LA VILLA D'ESTE A fantastic piece, one of the several portraits that Liszt wrote after being inspired by his travelling experiences to Italy, and to Rome in particular. Featuring professor Peter Frankl.
